I love how Roy just so happens to be a part of every major friend group on Ted Lasso. Friendly with Keeley even when she was dating Jamie (whilst hating Jamie), friendly with Rebecca whereas most of the team is much more distanced from her, in later seasons friends with the team as their former captain, friends with the Diamond Dogs and coaches, best friends with Jamie, Beard's best man, friends with the Chelsea staff members, friends with the yoga moms... days later, while wei wuxian was being his annoying self following his future husband around where others could see and hear them, lan wangji snapped and pulled wei wuxian for a fierce, deep, knee weakling, kiss that made everyone around gasp out loud.

I may just be insane about this but does this feel like foreshadowing to anyone else. In this scene we see her trying to replicate the skill of someone else (her mother) and failing to achieve the same results that they would. That feels really specific and it's driving me insane.

Like, we see this come back again in the aftermath of the trial. Diana has repeatedly voiced her admiration for Wolfgang's ability to speak and inspire those around him in the darkest of times, saying she wished she could do the same. We see her pour her heart out and give her own speech to inspire the others-- except the reaction that she receives is cold and miserable, far from the newly kindled warmth and hope Wolfgang was able to create every time.

Diana is a chameleon. Her whole thing is to reflect, to replicate and to adapt. Do you think that this small scene where she tries to make a butterfly out of her hairclips-- a butterfly, an animal associated with transformation and change-- and the end result looking nothing like what she wanted it to be is a metaphor for her future character arc? She has declared that she wants to follow in Wolfgang's footsteps, wants to become something new, but do you think that by the end she ends up being the furthest thing from him? Do you think that by the end she will be left distorted, fundamentally wrong? Do you think that if she could see what she will become in the future, the only emotion that she can muster is horror as she gazes at a stranger that's supposed to be herself? That by the end, she won't be able to recognise herself, because there's no "her" left anymore?

I'm actually getting a little bit concerned for the people who think Tommy is still the same person he was in Hen and Chimney Begins episodes. Because, like, are you sure you've actually watched the show???

The whole show itself is about becoming the best version of yourself, and Tommy is visibly more confident and sure of himself in season 7 than he ever was in the flashbacks in Season 2. Hell, he kissed Buck - something which he would never have had the courage to do when he was deeply closeted 10 years ago. He's very clearly not the same character...and I genuinely do not understand how these people can claim that he hasn't changed. I ask for 1 (one) piece of evidence to prove that he's still the same person now that he was in the Begins episodes...I'll wait.

I am sometimes concerned as to why some people consume this media if they do not have the capacity to interpret it in the correct way.

Fellas is it supporting misogyny to tell an anecdote about a guy with wild opinions whom you explicitly call a misogynist and a shitty person. Where have i ever said i support any of his claims. Sonia and Komaeda getting along well enough to room together is so good honestly. Even if its mostly bc she takes no shit, Komaeda was still like the only person to stand up for her when Teruteru was trying to get frisky about her naiveté in the prologue/ch1.

I kind of suspect she was acting more unknowing than she really was then, to suit her role as a princess, but he had no way of knowing that then. Plus, if she was aware then, it might be easier for her to recognize the side of him that isn't all hope n murder? Since outside of the killing game he's pretty polite (if self effacing) and generally not down for creepy behavior.

If you've got any more thoughts on these two's interactions postgame, I'd love to hear.
